Now This is Bhalu

Now, this is Bhalu!

Introducing Bhalu

This is a photo of Bhalu ~ the beautiful bear that Doreen Frost (Vermont Harvest FolkArt) created for him. I commissioned Doreen to make a bear for my grandson Benjamin's 2nd birthday. She just finished him and will be mailing it out to me tomorrow. I can't wait to give it to Benjamin ~ he loves bears. Please check out Doreen's website ~ http://www.vermontharvestfolkart.com ~ as there are more photos of Bhalu.

Hi everyone. Well, here is the newest journal and don't you just love the collage of lace? This exquisite collage was designed and made by my good friend Rhonda ~ and I hate parting with it but as soon as I saw it in her Etsy store ~ I just knew what I was going to do with it. Then, I had to find the right material to place this piece on. You can find Rhonda at http://alittlebitfrench.blogspot.com and she will direct you to her Etsy store.

The raspberry ribbon is a treasure found in a package I ordered from Michelle ~ and it matches perfectly. You can find her at http://petitemichellelouise.blogspot.com. Michelle's beautiful blog will also direct you to her store on Etsy as well.

Thank you Rhonda and Michelle to continue to inspire me.

This journal is for sale and I have named it the French Lace Journal and inside the lucky owner will find two vintage postcards attached by photo corners to the inside and back cover ~ both from Paris. You can visit my Etsy store at
http://www.etsy.com/shop/maranderstudios.

Enjoy your weekend everyone!

Hello everyone. Well, I am having one of those days ~ battery needed to be charged on new digital camera however, they didn't include the attachment where I can upload the photos from the camera to the computer. So, I improvised and used the "dead" camera (which does work with batteries when plugged in to the computer) except the little widget wouldn't work. So, Walmart tomorrow to see what they can do for me. However, I did manage to take a photo of my newest journal. It isn't as clear as I would have liked ~ but I was so excited to show you ~ I added it anyway. You'll notice the postcard under the lace. I did not attach the postcard to the fabric, I just tucked it under because I will be including two vintage postcards with this item. One is from Paris, France (the artist Yvon) and the other is from England. My great-aunt traveled Europe in the 1920's and was torn (as am I) between France and England!! There are more journals near completion and I will have them ready to photograph by Friday. Lots more items are listed in my Etsy Store ~ so please stop by and take a look. I love feedback (negative and positive) so let me know what you think. Have a great day everyone!!! Hugs

Cordelia

Cordelia

Well, there are many reasons why I chose the name Cordelia for my blog but right now I feel as though she needs an image. I commissioned a wonderful artist to create Cordelia with the magic of her pen/ink drawings. She has also created an image of a special *bear* which will be given to my grandson Benjamin on his 2nd birthday in June. The name of this special artist is Michelle Palmer and here are two places you can find her on the web: http://www.etsy.com/shopMichellePalmer and http//michellepalmerart.blogspot.com. Please stop in to meet her ~ she is an incredible mother, wife, person, and artist! So, without further ado, here is Cordelia!
